Sony has officially unveiled the PC specifications for The Last of Us Part II Remastered ahead of its eagerly anticipated release on April 3. Alongside the PC specs, Sony detailed PSN sign-in incentives and new content for No Return Mode, which will be available on both PC and PlayStation 5.

In a recent PlayStation Blog post, developer Naughty Dog, in collaboration with support studios Nixxes Software and Iron Galaxy, outlined the enhancements made to the PC version of The Last of Us Part II Remastered. This PC version comes a year after its PlayStation 5 counterpart and promises an enriched gaming experience.

The Last of Us Part II Remastered PC Features:

• Nvidia DLSS 3 Super Resolution support
• AMD FSR 3.1 and AMD FSR 4 support with upscaling and frame generation
• VSync and framerate cap options, including an uncapped framerate option
• DirectStorage support
• Adjustable Texture Quality, LOD Distance Range, Volumetric Quality, Shadow Quality, Ambient Occlusion, and Reflections Quality
• Support for Ultrawide monitors, including 21:9 ultra-wide, 32:9 super ultra-wide, and 48:9 resolutions with triple-monitor setups

Players can enjoy the game in stunning 4K resolution, utilizing a variety of supported controllers or the precision of keyboard and mouse controls. The game also boasts 3D audio capabilities for an immersive sound experience. The PC version includes extensive keyboard and mouse control customization options, such as full control remapping, dual bindings, and an adaptive mode that supports mixed input from keyboard and controller. For those using DualSense controllers, full haptic feedback is available, enhancing the tactile feel of gameplay.

Sony emphasized that "The Last of Us Part II Remastered on PC offers a wide range of graphics settings and presets, ensuring the best possible experience on hardware ranging from high-end PCs to handheld gaming devices."

The Last of Us Part 2 PC Specs:

Moving to the exciting updates for No Return Mode, two new characters are being introduced: Bill and Marlene from The Last of Us Part I. Bill, adopting a "Smuggler" playstyle, gains access to a custom pump shotgun from dead drops and earns double rewards from drops. Although stronger against melee attacks, he cannot dodge. Marlene, on the other hand, embodies a "Risk Taker" playstyle, equipped with a Custom Assault Rifle and "All or Nothing" gambits, with the ability to reroute her No Return path once per run.

Additionally, four new maps are set to enhance the No Return experience: Overlook, School, Streets, and Nest. Each map offers unique settings and challenges drawn from the game's campaign, adding variety and thrill to players' runs.

All these enhancements, along with new Trophies and bug fixes, will be available on PS5 simultaneously with the PC launch through a free downloadable 2.0.0 patch.

In a recent policy shift, Sony has made PSN log-in optional for the PC version of The Last of Us Part II Remastered. However, players who do choose to sign in with their PSN account will unlock additional benefits, including PlayStation overlay, PSN Trophies, 50 in-game points for bonus features, and a new skin for Ellie featuring Jordan A. Mun’s jacket from Naughty Dog’s upcoming game, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. PS5 players can also unlock this skin through the 2.0 patch using in-game bonus points.

Earlier this month, Neil Druckmann, director of The Last of Us, shared insights into the development of Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. In an interview with Alex Garland, Druckmann revealed the game has been in development for four years and is set in an alternate historical timeline, exploring themes of faith and religion. The game stars Tati Gabrielle as Jordan A. Mun.

As fans await the PC release of The Last of Us Part II Remastered, excitement also builds for Season 2 of HBO's TV adaptation, where showrunners Druckmann and Craig Mazin have confirmed the return of spores, which were absent in the first season.
