A Major Presence Among Exhibitors
Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) will be a prominent exhibitor at the Tokyo Game Show 2024's main exhibition hall, their first full participation in four years. The official exhibitor list confirms SIE's presence amongst 731 companies, occupying numerous booths across Halls 1 to 8. This contrasts with their limited presence in the 2023 TGS, where they only showcased indie titles in the Demo Play area. This year, Sony will be alongside industry giants like Capcom and Konami in the main exhibition.
While Sony's specific plans remain undisclosed, their May State of Play presentation previewed several 2024 releases, many of which will likely be available by the time of TGS. Furthermore, recent financial reports indicate no plans for major new franchise releases before April 2025.
The Largest Tokyo Game Show Yet
The Tokyo Game Show (TGS), a leading video game exhibition in Asia, will be held at Makuhari Messe from September 26th to 29th. The 2024 event is shaping up to be the largest yet, boasting 731 exhibitors (448 Japanese and 283 international) and 3190 booths (as of July 4th).
International attendees can purchase tickets starting July 25th, 12:00 JST. Options include a 3000 JPY one-day pass or a 6000 JPY Supporters Club Ticket, offering a special T-shirt, sticker, and priority entry. Visit the official website for complete ticket information.
