Sony Unveils Sleek Midnight Black PlayStation 5 Accessories

Sony has announced a stylish new Midnight Black Collection for the PlayStation 5, adding a touch of dark elegance to its lineup of accessories. The collection includes the DualSense Edge wireless controller, PlayStation Portal handheld remote player, Pulse Elite wireless headset, and Pulse Explore wireless earbuds – all sporting a sophisticated black finish.

Pre-orders for the Midnight Black Collection begin January 16th, 2025, at 10 AM ET, exclusively through direct.playstation.com. The full launch is scheduled for February 20th, 2025. The new Edge controller boasts a modern design and includes a black carrying case. While the Pulse Elite headset is pricier than its predecessor, it also includes a felt gray carrying case (shared with the earbuds).

This release follows Sony's trend of offering various DualSense controller colors and designs, including popular game-themed versions like those for God of War and Marvel's Spider-Man 2. A limited-edition Helldivers 2 DualSense controller is also currently available for pre-order.
