The audio quality is exceptional, whether you're tuning into intricate classical music or the soundtrack of an action-packed movie—these headphones deliver flawlessly."

The previous generation, the Sony XM4, was already an impressive headphone, but the XM5 introduces key enhancements in noise cancellation and comfort. Equipped with a second processor and double the number of microphones dedicated to filtering out ambient noise, the XM5 excels. The redesigned earcups fit more snugly on the ear, creating a better seal for enhanced passive noise isolation. The noise cancellation performance is significantly improved over the XM4 and surpasses that of most other noise-canceling headsets in its price range.

The Sony WH-1000XM5 also features a sleeker redesign, with a different style of headband adjustment.
