Star Wars: Hunters has made the unexpected announcement of its shutdown before even reaching its first anniversary, yet it will still celebrate this milestone before closing its doors. But the question lingers: is it worth celebrating the anniversary of a game that's on its way out?

When Is the Star Wars: Hunters Shutdown?

Zynga, the game's developer and publisher, is rolling out one final content update on April 15th. This update will introduce the last new Support Hunter, Tuya, available for free. Additionally, in-game purchases will be disabled on the same day.

Ranked Mode will remain active until the servers shut down, and events from the season will be rerun. If you have any unspent Crystals, now's the time to use them as there won't be any refunds.

It Isn’t Shocking

A combination of a delayed launch, absence of support on major consoles, and a tepid reception contributed to the game's downfall. Even the game's design missed the mark, opting for generic original characters instead of tapping into the vast pool of iconic Star Wars figures.
