In a recent interview with Famitsu, translated via Google, Director Tatsuya Ogushi and Lead Planner Takahiro Sakiyama shared their aspirations for the project. They hope that the remaster will not only introduce a new generation of gamers to the Suikoden series but also reignite the passion of its long-time fans.

Ogushi, who shares a deep personal connection with the series, expressed his admiration for the late series creator Yoshitaka Murayama. "I’m sure Murayama would have wanted to be involved as well," Ogushi remarked. He fondly recalled telling Murayama about his involvement in remaking the illustrations, to which Murayama responded with envy.

Sakiyama, who directed Suikoden V and was new to the franchise at the time, emphasized his desire to bring Suikoden back into the spotlight. "I really wanted to bring ‘Genso Suikoden’ back to the world, and now I can finally deliver it," he stated.
