Ubisoft has unveiled exciting new gameplay features for *Assassin's Creed: Shadows*, particularly highlighting the equipment and progression systems for the protagonists, Yasuke and Naoe. A key highlight is the enhanced functionality of the iconic Hidden Blade, a feature that fans are eagerly anticipating.

Each character in *Assassin's Creed: Shadows* boasts unique skill trees tailored to their distinct combat styles. Yasuke, the samurai, will specialize in traditional samurai techniques, while Naoe, the shinobi, will focus on stealth and agility. Players can allocate skill points to unlock weapon-specific abilities or refine their fighting styles. These skill points are earned by completing open-world objectives or defeating formidable enemies, such as the Daisyo samurai.

To maintain balanced progression, both characters will develop at an even pace, ensuring neither falls behind. Unlocking powerful abilities often requires specific in-game actions, like tracking down a mysterious shinobi group. Additionally, progression is tied to the "Knowledge" scale, which players can advance by studying manuscripts or praying at shrines. Reaching the sixth rank in Knowledge unlocks an entirely new skill tree, adding depth to the gameplay experience.

Ubisoft also detailed the equipment system, where items are categorized into five quality tiers: common, uncommon, rare, epic, and legendary. Players can upgrade their gear at a blacksmith and customize its appearance. Special perks on armor and weapons can significantly alter gameplay dynamics, offering strategic advantages.
