Uma Musume Pretty Derby is part of a larger multimedia franchise including anime, manga, and more. Its popularity stems largely from the success of the anime series. The game, initially released in Japan and Asia in February 2021 for Android and iOS, features horse girls – racehorses reincarnated as girls – competing to become top idols in the "Twinkle Series."
While the global release date remains unannounced, appearances by characters like Gold Ship (Team Spica) in games like Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising hint at future global crossovers once the English version launches.
