The much-anticipated sequel has been delayed yet again, with a new release window set for October 2025. This announcement came via the game's official Twitter (now known as X) account on March 26, along with a video update to keep the community in the loop.

Paradox Focusing on Bug Fixing, Stability, and Performance

In the video, Bloodlines 2 Executive Producer Marco Behrmann shared insights into the current state of development. "The status of the game right now is that the game is done," Behrmann stated. "We are currently working on bug fixing, stability, and performance so we can deliver the best experience to you guys once it releases." This focus on polishing the game underscores Paradox's commitment to providing a high-quality experience to its eager fanbase.

Over the past few months, Paradox has been engaging with players through Dev Diaries, offering glimpses into the game's characters, stories, and mechanics. However, to prioritize the game's quality, all Dev Diaries will be paused until further notice, allowing the developers to concentrate on enhancing the game's overall performance and stability.

First Revealed in 2019

The journey of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 began with its initial reveal in March 2019, with an original release target set for March 2020. Developed initially by Hardsuit Labs, the game faced its first delay to an unspecified date in 2020, followed by another pushback to 2021. During this period, the project saw significant changes, including the departure of multiple leads.

In a significant development shift, Paradox Interactive announced in February 2021 that Hardsuit Labs would no longer be involved with the project. The development baton was passed to The Chinese Room, which set new expectations for a late 2024 release. However, these plans were revised to the first half of 2025, and now, the game is slated for a release at the end of 2025.
