After the opening of *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, you'll gain access to side quests and greater freedom to explore. One such quest involves locating Vostatek's horse, Pepik, a task rewarding you handsomely upon completion.

Begin by accepting the side quest "Lackey" from Zlata at Gamemaster Vostatek's house west of Tachov. Alternatively, speaking with Vitek (slightly southeast of the house, marked 'B' on the map above) will also initiate the quest, as Zlata directs you to him anyway. This leads you north, where you'll find Vostatek under attack by wolves.

After rescuing Vostatek, he requests your help in carrying him to his campsite where he tethered Pepik. Follow his instructions; be mindful of your stamina, as dropping Vostatek will set you back.

Upon reaching the campsite, you'll discover Pepik is missing. Follow the trail of clues, examining each one as prompted, leading you to a poacher's camp.

Vostatek’s suspicions are confirmed: Pepik was stolen by poachers. You'll find him at the rear of their camp. The poachers move around, allowing you to engage them strategically in smaller groups. Eliminating those at the camp's edge is easier. Many will surrender before you can strike. Alternatively, you can bypass the tougher poachers within the camp, riding Pepik away before they attack. Note that there’s no opportunity for rest between finding Vostatek and Pepik, so your health might be depleted depending on the wolf encounter.

Return Pepik to Vostatek's camp. You can choose to ride with him back to his home (a fast travel option), receiving Groschen and a place to stay as your reward.

Having found Pepik, you can now pursue other quests, romances, or purchase additional equipment using your well-earned reward.
