WoW Housing: new details shared by Blizzard
World of Warcraft's highly anticipated housing system is slated for a 2025 release, with Blizzard offering a sneak peek at its features. The developers assure players that homes will be accessible to everyone, regardless of in-game achievements, financial standing, or participation in lotteries. Crucially, homes won't be forfeited due to lapsed subscriptions. This exciting addition will be fully integrated into the upcoming Midnight expansion.
Initially, players can select a plot in one of two distinct zones: an Alliance-themed area (combining Elwynn Forest with elements from Westfall and Duskwood) or a Horde-themed area (featuring Durotar, along with aspects of Azshara and the Durotar coastline).
These zones are further divided into districts, each accommodating approximately 50 homes. Players have the option of residing in open areas or establishing private communities with friends and guild members. Extensive customization is promised, with a wide array of decorative options available both in-game and through the Blizzard shop.
Blizzard's vision for the housing system rests on three core pillars: extensive personalization, robust social interaction, and enduring appeal. While further details are promised in the future, Blizzard encourages player feedback and suggestions.
