Obtaining Nightmare Crownless: A Step-by-Step Guide

Unlocking Nightmare Crownless requires completing the "Ruins Where Shadows Roam" quest and locating all four Dream Patrols within the Penitent's End region of Rinascita.

Completing "Ruins Where Shadows Roam"

This quest isn't initiated via an NPC. Instead:

1. Open your map.
2. Locate the compass icon (upper-left).
3. Access the Penitent's End region's Exploration Progress menu.
4. "Ruins Where Shadows Roam" will be listed there.

This quest is linked to "Quest of Faith," an optional quest requiring defeating four enemies in specific Penitent's End locations.

1. Find the Resonance Beacon across the broken bridge in Wailing Ascent.
2. Interact with the prompt near the circular arena beside the beacon.
3. This initiates a fight against a Questless Knight.

To defeat the Knight:

1. Lure it near a lit Macabre Torch within the arena.
2. Reignite extinguished torches by using Fae Ignis enemies.
3. Avoid using high-damage skills near torches to prevent extinguishing them.

Locating Dream Patrols and Nightmare Crownless

After completing "Ruins Where Shadows Roam" and "Quest of Faith," locate all four Dream Patrols in Penitent's End (see image above). While completing these patrols isn't mandatory to unlock Nightmare Crownless, doing so provides additional resources and Monnaie. Once all four are found, Nightmare Crownless will appear on your map within the ruins north of Penitent's End.

Important Note: Nightmare Echoes utilize Enhanced Absorption charges, boosting Echo drop rates. Players receive only 15 charges weekly, so manage their use efficiently.
