HoYoverse's mobile sensation, Zenless Zone Zero, continues its upward trajectory. The recent version 1.4 update, titled "And the Starfall Came," propelled the game to a record-breaking $8.6 million in daily mobile player spending, surpassing even its impressive July 2024 launch figures.

According to AppMagic, Zenless Zone Zero's cumulative mobile revenue has now exceeded $265 million. Update 1.4's success is attributed to the introduction of new characters like Hoshimi Miyabi and Asaba Harumasa, alongside enhanced gameplay mechanics, fresh environments, and new game modes, all stimulating increased player spending.

The free availability of Harumasa as a promotional character, coupled with the gacha banner featuring Hoshimi Miyabi, significantly contributed to this revenue surge.

Remarkably, the 1.4 update sustained player engagement far beyond typical patterns. Unlike previous updates where spending usually declined sharply after a week, this update maintained daily revenues above $1 million for over 11 consecutive days, and even surpassed $500,000 per day two weeks post-release.

While undeniably successful, Zenless Zone Zero still lags behind HoYoverse's flagship titles, Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, in terms of overall revenue.
