The Carplounge Autopilot utilizes an Android tablet or phone, replacing traditional BaitBoat remotes. This free app, available on the Google Play Store, connects to the boat via Bluetooth using a transmitter box, offering complete touchscreen control.

Manual Mode: Provides standard BaitBoat functionality, allowing direct touchscreen steering. The app displays real-time boat position, route, and orientation (including a compass!), constantly updating on an integrated map. GPS functionality enables saving and naming key fishing spots (e.g., "jetty left," "spot 1") identified via echo sounder data.

Autopilot Mode: Users can select and sequence saved points to create automated routes, incorporating actions like opening specific hatches or activating lights at each waypoint. For instance, a route could involve: 1) navigating to "Sandbank" and opening the right hopper; 2) proceeding to "Spot 2" and opening the left hopper; and 3) returning to the fishing location with a single light blink. The system supports virtually unlimited spot and route storage. High-precision position, acceleration, GPS, and compass technology ensure accurate route following (90% accuracy within 30cm!).

Intelligent Line Tension Management: The autopilot cleverly addresses line tension, particularly crucial when deploying two rods simultaneously to different locations. If line tension is detected, the boat adjusts its course to counteract, maintaining a direct path to the target without unnecessary turns and line tangles.
