FortiToken Mobile: Your Secure Multi-Factor Authentication Solution

FortiToken Mobile is a mobile application generating one-time passwords (OTPs) for enhanced security using Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). This OATH-compliant app supports both time-based and event-based OTP generation, serving as the client component of Fortinet's robust, user-friendly, and cost-effective authentication system. For OTP validation, it requires integration with FortiOS, FortiAuthenticator, or FortiToken Cloud.

Privacy and Security:

Rest assured, FortiToken Mobile prioritizes your privacy and security. It cannot access or modify sensitive phone settings, capture media (photos, videos, audio), access emails, or view your browsing history. All actions, including notifications and settings changes, require your explicit permission. Remote wiping of your device is not possible. Any access granted is strictly limited to verifying your OS version for compatibility and, during manual token installation, the entry of sensitive information (e.g., email address, token seeds) is required for token activation, third-party token integration and token transfer.

While FortiToken Mobile operates without altering your phone's settings without your consent, certain permissions are essential for its functionality:

• Camera Access: To conveniently scan QR codes for token activation.
• TouchID/FaceID: For enhanced application security.
• Internet Access: To activate tokens and receive push notifications.
• Email Access ("Send Feedback by Email"): To automatically populate the sender field when sending feedback.
• File Sharing: To attach files when sending email feedback.
• Prevent Sleep Mode: To prevent data corruption during internal database upgrades.
