Tarneeb is a card game played by two teams, each with players sitting opposite each other around a table. Using a standard 52-card deck, play proceeds counter-clockwise. Each player estimates the number of "Allmat" (tricks) their team can win in each round.

The player who wins the bid to declare "Tarneeb" throws a type of paper to the floor; other players must throw the same type. The player who starts, and subsequently wins, each "Bamh" (trick) by throwing matching paper, continues. If a player doesn't have matching paper, they lose the "Tarneeb" option. "Tarneeb" papers are superior to all others; the player throwing the strongest "Tarneeb" paper wins unless a stronger one is played.

The round ends when all players have played their cards. Points are tallied. A team's bid must be met or exceeded to score points. If successful, the team adds the number of "Allmat" won to their score. If unsuccessful, the points are deducted from their score and added to the opposing team's score along with the number of "Allmat" the opposing team won.

If a team achieves 13 "Allmat" without bidding for it, 16 points are added. A successful bid of 13 "Allmat" awards 26 points. A failed bid of 13 "Allmat" results in a 16-point deduction.

The game concludes when a team reaches a total score of 41 or more, declaring that team the winner.
