Valve has returned from their New Year break, and game developers are starting to roll out new patches. After Deadlock announced its departure from the bi-weekly update schedule, the community anticipated a comprehensive update. However, Valve opted for a lighter start to the year.

The latest patch focused solely on one hero, Yamato, who received a slight nerf. This included a reduction in damage scaling and a lower attack speed bonus at the first level of Shadow Transformation. Other abilities like Frenzy, Berserker, and Restorative Shot were also weakened, while Alchemical Fire saw a minor rework.

Given the size of this update, it's likely that players will have to wait for a more substantial patch. However, predicting when this will happen remains challenging at this stage.

It's important to mention that Deadlock has experienced a significant drop in its player base recently. This could be attributed to the allure of Marvel Rivals, drawing players away. Nonetheless, maintaining a steady online player count of 7,000 to 19,000 is a respectable achievement for a game still deep in its beta phase. Valve has not yet disclosed any potential release dates or details about the game's monetization model.
