Paramount Pictures has adjusted its release schedule, pushing back The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem 2, delaying both Nickelodeon films by several months.

Per Variety, the eagerly awaited Aang-centered Avatar film, originally set for January 30, 2026, is now scheduled to debut on October 9, 2026. On a positive note, Paramount revealed a fresh logo for the movie, viewable below.

This shift delays The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender by nearly nine months. It marks the second postponement for this sequel to Nickelodeon’s cherished fantasy series, initially planned for October 10, 2025.

No specific reason for the delay was provided, but the confirmed voice cast, including Steven Yeun, Dave Bautista, and Eric Nam, remains committed to the project.

The Legend of Aang: The Last Airbender will center on the original Avatar hero in a story set years after the series concluded. It earned its official title at last month’s CinemaCon and is the first of three planned films in this universe.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem sequel, announced just before the 2023 premiere of the first film, also faces a delay.

Fans anticipating the next chapter for Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo now face a longer wait, as the sequel’s release moves from October 9, 2026, to September 17, 2027.
