According to a statement from the company via Bloomberg, this all-day discount applies to the standard adult evening ticket price. But here's the best part: even premium showings like IMAX or 4DX will enjoy the same half-price deal. Considering how pricey an IMAX movie can be, especially for families or groups, this is a game-changer.

The movie industry has faced challenges since the COVID-19 pandemic, which forced many to pause their moviegoing habits, leading to a significant financial hit from reduced ticket sales. While things have been improving, the recovery hasn't been without its hurdles. However, AMC CEO Adam Aron remains optimistic about the future.

Aron noted that despite a low box office turnout in the first quarter, which he called an "anomaly," the situation has "already corrected itself" thanks to the stellar performances of both "A Minecraft Movie" and "Sinners." Since April 1, ticket sales have been robust. "A Minecraft Movie" has already raked in an impressive $408 million, while "Sinners" has earned $215 million and is still counting.

With the summer blockbuster season on the horizon, featuring hits like "Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning" and Disney’s live-action "Lilo and Stitch," as well as upcoming releases such as "Superman" and "The Fantastic Four: First Steps" in July, there's plenty more to look forward to.
