Android Floatopia Set to Launch
NetEase Games unveiled their charming life sim, Floatopia, at Gamescom, promising a multi-platform release, including Android, sometime in 2025. This whimsical game features a world of floating islands and unique characters. The trailer depicts a picturesque setting where players farm, fish, and decorate their airborne homes.
A Cute Apocalypse
The world's ending, but don't worry, it's a cute, "My Time At Portia"-style apocalypse, not a "Fallout" scenario. Players inhabit a sky-bound world of fragmented landmasses and individuals with diverse, and sometimes underwhelming, superpowers. The game emphasizes the potential hidden within seemingly insignificant abilities.
Island Life and Adventure
As the Island Manager, you'll engage in activities reminiscent of Animal Crossing or Stardew Valley: cultivate crops, fish amongst the clouds, and personalize your floating island home. Explore exotic locations, meet new people, and host island parties. Multiplayer is optional, allowing for solitary or social gameplay.
Quirky Companions
Floatopia boasts a cast of memorable characters, each with their own unique personalities and superpowers (think "My Hero Academia").
