Bandai Namco Announces Digimon Alysion: Digital Card Game for Mobile
Bandai Namco is launching Digimon Alysion, a digital adaptation of the Digimon Card Game, for Android and iOS as a free-to-play title. A release date has yet to be confirmed.
The game was unveiled at Digimon Con 2025 on March 19th. During the event, Bandai Namco also shared updates, including a new arc for Digimon Liberator starting in April 2025.
A special video marking the 25th anniversary of the Digimon anime was showcased, alongside the reveal of Digimon Adventure: Beyond. Additionally, a new RPG, Digimon Story: Time Stranger, is in development for consoles and PC.
Digimon Alysion Offers Unique Twist on Card Game
Digimon Alysion diverges from the physical card game by introducing exclusive ‘DigiAly’ cards alongside original cards tailored for this version. New Digimon and characters are also being added.
The game features an all-female character roster on its website, a bold and unconventional choice for a digital card game. This has sparked mixed reactions, with some fans questioning the deviation from the traditional game.
Bandai Namco’s previous attempts at Digimon mobile games have fallen short, raising doubts about Alysion’s potential success.
