Indie game developer Sander Frenken has unveiled his upcoming title, Battledom, currently in Alpha testing. This RTS-lite game acts as a spiritual successor to Frenken's successful 2020 release, Herodom. Developed over two years by the part-time developer, Battledom closely resembles his original vision for Herodom.

Battledom offers dynamic RTS combat, enabling players to freely maneuver units across the battlefield. Players directly target enemies and manually operate siege weapons for devastating attacks. Strategic formations enhance the gameplay experience.

Players use in-game currency to recruit units, initially equipped with basic weapons and no armor. Customization is key; players can equip units with various weapons and armor pieces, each impacting stats like range, accuracy, defense, and attack power.

Resource management is central. Instead of finding equipment, players must craft it within their village. Gathering resources such as wood, leather, and coal is necessary to create items with the aid of blacksmiths, magicians, and other village artisans.

Frenken's previous work, Herodom, enjoys a 4.6 App Store rating. This tower defense game features over 55 collectible heroes, 150+ units and siege weapons, and historically-inspired battles. Progression unlocks new hairstyles, body types, crops, and farm animals.
