Bethesda Star Recounts Health Battle
Beloved Bethesda voice actor Wes Johnson, renowned for his roles in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Fallout 3, Starfield, and other iconic titles, has shared an emotional update during his recovery after being discovered "barely conscious" in his hotel room last week.
A video message from Johnson was posted on a GoFundMe campaign, which has raised $174,653 to support his medical treatment and living expenses, revealing he had been in a medically induced coma.
"I've discovered an overwhelming amount of love in this world that I never knew existed, and I'm deeply grateful to every single one of you," Johnson expressed.
The veteran voice actor and Washington Capitals announcer had traveled to Atlanta to host a charity event for the National Alzheimer's Foundation when concerns arose after he failed to appear. His wife Kim contacted the hotel, where emergency responders struggled to detect his pulse.

"Reports of my condition weren't exaggerated - it was extremely serious. But thanks to my wife alerting hotel security and my son's quick action, I'm still here," Johnson stated.
"After being rushed to the hospital and placed in a five-day coma, I learned about the incredible GoFundMe organized by my friends Bill Glasser, Shari Elliker, and Kim. Their support showed me profound kindness I never expected."
Johnson expressed gratitude to the National Alzheimer's Association for arranging family visits, thanked Washington Capitals owner Ted Leonsis for his $25,000 contribution, and acknowledged Glasser and Elliker's efforts.
The actor also appreciated Bethesda's public support during his recovery: "You call me your friend - I am, and always will be. Love you all." He extended thanks to fans worldwide for their donations and encouragement, affirming: "I'm not going anywhere."
"My recovery will take time, but I'll return stronger. I can't wait to reconnect with everyone - cheers," Johnson concluded optimistically.
Beyond his extensive film and TV work, Johnson's gaming legacy includes recent Starfield roles like Ron Hope, plus memorable characters across Bethesda titles: Sheogorath and Lucien Lachance in Oblivion, multiple Daedric Princes in Morrowind, Fallout's Fawkes and Burke, Skyrim's Hermaeus Mora and Emperor Titus Mede II, and Fallout 4's Moe Cronin.
