Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is getting a highly requested feature: in-game challenge tracking. Treyarch Studios confirmed the development of this UI improvement, addressing player disappointment over its absence from launch, unlike its inclusion in 2023's Modern Warfare 3.

While a release date remains unannounced, the upcoming Season 2 update later this month hints at a potentially swift implementation. This news follows a January 9th update focusing on bug fixes for Multiplayer and Zombies modes. The update notably reversed a controversial Zombies change, restoring the original round timing and zombie spawning mechanics in Directed Mode after community feedback.

Challenge Tracking on the Way

Treyarch's Twitter response to a fan inquiry confirmed the challenge tracking feature is "currently in the works." This functionality, popular in Modern Warfare 3, will significantly benefit players aiming for Mastery camos. The anticipated implementation will likely mirror Modern Warfare 3's system, providing a real-time in-game challenge tracker accessible via the UI.

More Improvements in Development

Treyarch also acknowledged another significant improvement: separate HUD settings for Multiplayer and Zombies. This feature, also "in the works," will eliminate the need for players to constantly adjust HUD preferences when switching game modes. These upcoming additions highlight Treyarch's commitment to enhancing the Black Ops 6 experience based on player feedback.
