Previous announcements cited the game's unique development challenges as the reason for the delay, with a 2025 release date previously announced. The game's journey has been marked by setbacks, shifting from 2022 to 2023, then to 2024, and now finally to 2026. Despite the delays, Sad Cat Studios remains dedicated to delivering a high-quality product, acknowledging the considerable anticipation surrounding Replaced.

First unveiled in 2021 during Microsoft's E3 presentation, Replaced has generated significant buzz.
