Days Gone Remastered: Enhanced PS5 Experience with New Modes and Features

Sony's State of Play in February 2025 revealed Days Gone Remastered, a revamped version of Bend Studio's post-apocalyptic adventure, launching on PlayStation 5 April 25, 2025. This isn't just a simple upgrade; it boasts significant additions designed to enhance the PS5 experience.

Key features include a thrilling permadeath mode, a challenging speedrun mode, and a greatly improved photo mode with enhanced accessibility options. A new Horde Assault arcade mode lets players face off against even larger hordes of Freakers than the original game offered. The game also leverages PS5 Pro capabilities and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) technology.

This release continues Sony's trend of bringing enhanced PS4 titles to the PS5. Days Gone Remastered joins other upgraded games like The Last of Us Part I and Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered.

PC players aren't left out. Sony is releasing the "Broken Roads" DLC for $10, providing PC players with access to the new modes, enhanced photo mode, DualSense support (where applicable), and improved accessibility features.

A PlayStation.Blog post detailed further improvements. The Remastered version is optimized for PS5, offering Performance and Quality modes. PS5 Pro users will experience superior visuals and audio. DualSense controller features, including haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, are fully integrated.
