DC's Absolute Universe: A Chronological Reading Guide

DC’s All In publishing initiative offers powerhouse creators the chance to reimagine some of the label’s most iconic heroes without the constraints of pre-established continuity. Spearheaded by comics legend Scott Snyder and veteran Flash writer Joshua Williamson, a key component of All In is the Absolute Universe. This ambitious arc follows up on the Absolute Power storyline from late 2024, setting a new status quo for Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, and challenging fans' expectations of these beloved characters.

Since its launch in October, the Absolute Universe has been delivering compelling narratives across multiple ongoing titles. However, keeping up with the event's chronology and reading order can be challenging. This guide aims to simplify the reading experience for DC’s Absolute Universe in 2025.

Note: Be careful not to confuse the Absolute Universe titles with DC’s "Absolute" collected editions, such as the new Absolute Batman: Zero Year. These are entirely separate.

The Reading Order

For all ongoing series, follow our recommended reading order before proceeding with subsequent issues in release order. Each main Absolute series will consist of a six-issue run and will be collected in trade paperback editions in the future.
