Elden Ring: Nightreign is set to revolutionize ranged combat with the introduction of the Ironeye class ahead of its much-anticipated May release. This sniper class brings a fresh approach to ranged gameplay, emphasizing speed and agility. The character trailer offers a thrilling glimpse of the Ironeye in action, showcasing its ability to wield a massive bow and arrow setup and execute dynamic moves like running up walls for mid-air attacks. The class also introduces a new aiming system designed to enhance precision, particularly for headshots. Notably, the Ironeye can even perform a riposte move, delivering a heart-stopping arrow straight to an enemy's heart.

During the Nightreign closed network test in February, players had the opportunity to experience four of the eight playable classes: the versatile Wylder, the robust Guardian, the agile Duchess, and the spell-casting Recluse. With the Ironeye marking the sixth class, anticipation builds for the possible reveal of the remaining two classes later this month as the release date approaches.

The introduction of quality-of-life improvements, such as the new aiming system, has sparked hope among fans that similar enhancements could find their way into the original Elden Ring. This could potentially make bows more appealing as main weapons, which have historically been overshadowed by melee options in the original game. The powerful display of the Ironeye class may encourage more players to experiment with ranged builds in Nightreign.
