ARK: Ultimate Mobile Edition, the free-to-play mobile spin-off of the popular ARK: Survival Evolved franchise, has achieved a significant milestone. Within just three weeks of its December 18, 2024 launch, it surpassed three million downloads on iOS and Android.

This impressive launch, exceeding even the original mobile port's 2018 performance by 100%, comes despite mixed initial reviews. The game, developed by Grove Street Games and published by Snail Games, offers players a familiar experience: resource gathering, crafting, base building, and dinosaur taming.

The game's continued success is evident in its climbing popularity rankings. At the time of writing, it holds a respectable position among adventure games on both app stores, ranking 24th on iOS and 9th among top-grossing adventure games on Android. While user reviews are mixed (3.9/5 on the App Store and 3.6/5 on the Play Store), the download numbers speak volumes about its appeal.

This marks another successful launch for Grove Street Games, following their work on the improved Nintendo Switch port of ARK: Survival Evolved in 2022. Future plans include expanding the game's content with new maps like Ragnarok, Extinction, and both Genesis parts. The game's availability will further expand to the Epic Games Store in 2025.
