Game of Thrones: Kingsroad Launches Closed Beta on Android and PC
Netmarble's Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, an action-adventure title based on George R.R. Martin's books and the HBO series, is gearing up for a closed beta. Starting January 15th and running until the 22nd, the beta will be available in the US, Canada, and select European regions. Android users can register now!
Unlike previous Game of Thrones mobile games which focused on strategy, Kingsroad offers a unique third-person perspective. Players assume the role of an heir to House Tyrell, embarking on a journey across Westeros, engaging in combat, and building prestige.
The trailer showcases a Witcher-esque experience, featuring third-person exploration and combat. Players can choose from three distinct classes: Sellsword, Knight, and Assassin. While visually impressive, the true test lies in gameplay.
Beta Registration Closes Soon!
Registration for the closed beta ends January 12th. While the game looks promising, it's likely to face intense scrutiny from the dedicated Game of Thrones fanbase. Monetization and long-term support will be key factors determining its success. However, if Netmarble delivers, it could satisfy a long-standing desire for a truly immersive Game of Thrones mobile experience.
