Alkimia Interactive, the developer behind the highly anticipated Gothic 1 Remake, has provided journalists with early access to a new demo. Originally slated for Gamescom, this demo will soon be publicly available.

This demo offers a sneak peek at the full game, featuring a new protagonist, Niras, instead of the original Nameless Hero. Niras, a fellow prisoner, arrives in the Miners' Valley, interacting with its inhabitants and setting the scene for the larger story.

A previous Gamescom 2024 demo showcased Niras' arrival and introduction to the Colony's harsh realities. This upcoming demo, available to all players, will let fans experience the revamped Gothic world. Both the demo and the final game are largely rebuilt from the ground up, promising extended gameplay, enhanced orc interactions, and improved immersion. Expect a significantly richer and more engaging experience than the original.

The Gothic 1 Remake demo will debut on Steam during the Steam Next Fest, offering a free play period from the evening of February 24th to the evening of March 3rd. The full game's release is scheduled for later this year on PC (Steam, GOG), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
