In their recent X (formerly Twitter) post, Supergiant Games announced that Hades 2 has been in early access since May 6, 2024. To celebrate this milestone, the developer expressed gratitude to the fans for their ongoing support and highlighted their progress toward the game's full release.

The post stated, "It's been incredibly exciting and eye-opening as we've worked to realize the potential so many of you see in our game. Thank you for all your feedback and patience as we get closer to the finish line!"

Hades, the predecessor to Hades 2, also followed a similar early access route, taking 22 months before its complete release. However, Supergiant Games aims to bring Hades 2 to full release sooner, starting with a time-exclusive launch on the Nintendo Switch 2.

Launching First on the Nintendo Switch 2

During a segment on Nintendo’s Creator’s Voice video series, Supergiant Games disclosed that Hades 2 will debut on the Nintendo Switch 2. With the Switch 2 set to launch on June 5, fans can look forward to Hades 2's release around that time.

The game, a sequel to the highly praised rogue-like, Hades, marks the first time Supergiant Games has created a follow-up to one of their titles. The developers noted that crafting a sequel comes with "a great deal of fear and respect."
