Hara-Kiri Fatalities Animations Found in Mortal Kombat 1, Might Become Quitalities
A Mortal Kombat 1 dataminer has uncovered what appears to be strong evidence suggesting the addition of Hara-Kiri Fatalities, potentially in the form of Quitalities, to the brutal fighting game.
Redditor InfiniteNightZ shared a video showcasing what seem to be Hara-Kiri Fatalities in Mortal Kombat 1. Hara-Kiri finishers, first introduced in 2004's Mortal Kombat: Deception, allow the losing player to execute a self-Fatality.

.reddit-embed-wrapper iframe { margin-left: 0 !important; }The discovery of Hara-Kiri animations for recent DLC characters, including Ghostface, lends weight to the speculation that these features might be added in a future update. "After seeing that they're adding it to the downloaded roster now, I think it's highly possible," InfiniteNightZ remarked.
Furthermore, InfiniteNightZ suggested that these Hara-Kiri animations could be implemented as Quitalities, referencing their designation in the game's code. Quitalities are quick finishers that activate when a player quits a multiplayer match, a feature seen in earlier Mortal Kombat titles. "They are listed as Quitalities, there's still hope," InfiniteNightZ stated about the animations.
Following InfiniteNightZ's findings, renowned Mortal Kombat 1 dataminer Interloko discovered additional Hara-Kiri animations.

Here are another 2 missing from the video, so looks like only Omni-Man and Conan don't have one.I didn't try to trigger it in the game because I'm busy finishing some stuff for the demo of my own game https://t.co/TqBKyauY0G pic.twitter.com/hL4QzLRXwf

It's important to note that these findings are speculative, and neither NetherRealm nor publisher Warner Bros. Games has officially announced Quitalities for Mortal Kombat 1.
Mortal Kombat 1 has recently seen a surge in popularity with the addition of a secret fight against Floyd, the pink ninja, and the community's efforts to decipher his unlock conditions. Fans also have the T-1000 guest character to anticipate, along with potential additional DLC, though NetherRealm has not yet confirmed these plans.
