Disneyland Paris has shared fresh images, details, and a Fall 2025 construction timeline for its upcoming Lion King ride.

According to Disney Parks Blog, the first land and attraction dedicated to The Lion King will be a major highlight of the rebranded Disney Adventure World, formerly Walt Disney Studios Park. This new water ride, celebrating the 1994 classic, will feature a 120-foot-tall Pride Rock, alongside dining, shopping, character meet-and-greets, and more.

Disney revealed a new concept image for the ride, shown above, depicting Audio-Animatronics of young Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa enjoying grubs in a lush jungle scene. The ride includes a thrilling 52-foot drop, slightly taller than Tiana's Bayou Adventure.

While an exact opening date remains unconfirmed, the attraction will follow the 2026 debut of World of Frozen. It forms part of Disney Adventure World, which will double the park’s current size.

In addition to World of Frozen, The Lion King ride, and the previously announced Raiponce Tangled Spin ride featuring Mandy Moore as Rapunzel, guests can anticipate a new Up-themed attraction. This “spinning carousel” will provide a bird’s-eye view of the park’s breathtaking scenery.

World Premiere, opening May 15, 2025, will serve as Disney Adventure World’s new entrance, evoking a glamorous Hollywood premiere. World Premiere Plaza, inspired by Broadway and the West End, will host theaters showcasing performances like TOGETHER: A Pixar Musical Adventure, Mickey and the Magician, and Frozen: A Musical Invitation.
