Reiterating previous statements, Fares stressed Hazelight's unwavering commitment to avoiding live-service models and microtransactions. The studio has no plans to go public or be acquired by a larger company. Fares stated definitively, "We're not going public. No microtransactions. We focus solely on delivering great gaming experiences."

In a conversation with MinnMax, Fares shared that Split Fiction's core narrative clocks in at approximately 12-14 hours, mirroring the playtime of It Takes Two. With optional missions and extra content, players can expect a total playtime of 16-17 hours.

While Hazelight is known for its cooperative games, Fares hinted at the possibility of venturing into single-player titles in the future. He mentioned that Split Fiction's budget is double that of It Takes Two, yet the studio has chosen against post-launch DLC, ensuring all features are available from the game's release. Split Fiction launches worldwide on March 6th for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
