Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's phenomenal success continues unabated, surpassing 2 million copies sold in under two weeks.

Warhorse Studios, the developer, announced this milestone on Twitter, celebrating the sequel's achievement as a resounding triumph, echoing their earlier celebration upon reaching 1 million sales just one day after launch.

This remarkable feat underscores the immense popularity of Warhorse Studios' medieval RPG sequel, released on February 4th for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Last week, Embracer Group, Warhorse Studios' parent company, highlighted the game's exceptional performance on Steam, boasting over 250,000 concurrent players at its peak. This significantly eclipses the first Kingdom Come: Deliverance's peak of 96,069 concurrent players seven years prior. The actual peak concurrent player count is likely even higher, considering console sales, though precise figures remain undisclosed by Sony and Microsoft.

Embracer, which owns Warhorse Studios through its subsidiary Plaion, described Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's launch as a success across the board – player reception, critical acclaim, and sales performance.

Embracer CEO Lars Wingefors attributed the success to the dedication of Warhorse Studios and publisher Deep Silver, expressing confidence in continued strong revenue generation over the coming years. He cited the game's exceptional quality, immersive experience, and broad appeal as key factors. Wingefors also highlighted Warhorse Studios' comprehensive roadmap, including updates and new content throughout the next year, ensuring ongoing player engagement. He expressed immense pride in the teams involved, noting the game's performance significantly exceeded initial expectations.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's post-launch roadmap includes three expansions slated for 2025. Spring will bring free updates featuring a barbershop with enhanced customization, Hardcore Mode, and horse racing. Summer will see the release of the first paid DLC, "Brushes with Death," which follows protagonist Henry as he assists a mysterious artist with a shadowy past. Autumn introduces the "Legacy of the Forge" expansion, delving into Henry's past and his adoptive father Martin's history. Finally, winter will bring "Mysteria Ecclesia," where Henry undertakes a clandestine mission within the Sedlec Monastery.
