One More Level, renowned for the acclaimed Ghostrunner franchise, has unveiled a new project: Cyber Slash. This brutal action game, a departure from the cyberpunk setting of Ghostrunner, plunges players into an alternate, dark reimagining of the Napoleonic era.

Ghostrunner, known for its demanding gameplay requiring precise timing and skillful maneuvering, achieved critical acclaim with average scores of 81% and 79% for the first installment and 80% and 76% for the sequel. Cyber Slash promises a similarly challenging experience, but with a twist.

While One More Level is also developing Project Swift (slated for a 2028 release), the newly revealed image strongly suggests a focus on Cyber Slash. Set in the first half of the 19th century, Cyber Slash will feature legendary heroes battling unknown forces and terrifying threats. The gameplay will maintain elements of precision combat, such as parrying and exploiting weak points, but will incorporate a unique mutation-based progression system, differentiating it from traditional Souls-like mechanics.
