Tidepool Games has released a new rapid-fire pixel art roguelike for Android with serpentine gameplay mechanics. Titled MageTrain, this title will instantly remind players of Nimble Quest, drawing significant inspiration from that classic mobile game.

What Is MageTrain?

MageTrain blends Snake mechanics with auto-battler elements and roguelike progression. Players control a chain of heroes that trail behind them in formation - much like the classic Snake gameplay. Each hero automatically attacks as you navigate through battle arenas.

Gameplay revolves around strategic unit positioning and obstacle avoidance. Players must carefully manage the hero lineup since characters' abilities vary depending on their position in the train - lead units function differently than support units.
