Larian has launched a stress test update for Baldur's Gate 3's upcoming Patch 8. This pre-release test aims to identify and fix potential issues before the full patch's release. The stress test is currently limited to select participants.

Patch 8 Stress Test Update 1: Bug Fixes and Improvements

This initial update addresses various bugs, crashes, and scripting errors. Key improvements include:

• Preservation of container contents upon destruction.
• Enhanced screenshot functionality in Photo Mode for Steam Deck users.
• Improved responsiveness of character poses.
• Enhanced cross-play functionality.
• Updated tooltip values for the Booming Blade spell.
• Resolution of several crash issues.

• The highly-requested Photo Mode.

Larian has released a preview video showcasing the extensive customization options within the new Photo Mode. Players can access Photo Mode virtually anywhere, during exploration, combat, and even in multiplayer (for the host). Features include:

• Post-processing effects, stickers, and frames.

Note: Posing options are limited during dialogues and cutscenes; only post-processing effects are available. Larian plans to release additional tutorial videos to further explore Photo Mode's capabilities.
