Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater will launch on August 28th, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, as revealed in a new trailer shared by GameSpot on YouTube. The trailer, also featured on the game’s PlayStation Store page, highlights stunning visual upgrades for the highly anticipated remake.

Konami has not yet shared the trailer on their official social media channels, but this confirmation brings relief to fans who have waited nearly two years for the game’s release, now set for August 2025.

First revealed at the PlayStation Showcase in May 2023, the game was initially expected in 2024. Instead, Konami showcased gameplay trailers at the Xbox Games Showcase and Tokyo Game Show, focusing on the game’s mechanics and visuals.

According to the official Metal Gear account on X, the remake stays true to the original Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, preserving its gameplay and voice acting. “The Delta symbol (Δ) reflects the remake’s concept, symbolizing ‘change’ or ‘difference’ while maintaining the original structure,” the account noted in a May 2023 post.

The trailer also teased a surprising crossover with the PlayStation classic Ape Escape, featuring an iconic ape appearing briefly to taunt viewers. Details about this collaboration remain unclear, but the trailer hinted at additional partnerships with a cryptic “And more…” message.
