Players control Mother Nature, a Black female scientist, tasked with cleaning a polluted city and rescuing animals from Smog, the game's antagonist. Gameplay involves outrunning pollution, collecting air purifiers, and managing a smog meter to avoid being engulfed by toxic clouds. Beyond the core running and jumping mechanics, rescue missions add another layer of gameplay. Players encounter endangered animals needing assistance and ultimately release them in the rainforest.

BOM aimed to create a fun, engaging way to educate players about climate change and air pollution. The game incorporates power-ups, shields, and bonus items to enhance the experience.
