Netflix Announces Movie Based on Hit Game Sifu: Chad Stahelski and T.S. Nowlin Join the Project
Netflix is adapting the acclaimed video game Sifu into a feature film. The project, initially announced in 2022 and spearheaded by Story Kitchen and Sloclap (the game's developer), has expanded its production team.

T.S. Nowlin, known for his work on Maze Runner and Netflix's Project Adam, has joined to write the screenplay. While Derek Kolstad's involvement remains uncertain, Chad Stahelski, director of the John Wick franchise and currently working on Ghost of Tsushima's adaptation, will serve as an executive producer through his company, 87Eleven Entertainment.
Sifu, released in 2022, quickly surpassed one million copies sold in its first three weeks. The game centers on a young martial artist's quest for revenge after their master's murder, utilizing a mystical pendant that allows resurrection but at the cost of accelerated aging. The protagonist's journey is a thrilling blend of action and mystery.
