When Is Pokémon TCG Pocket Dropping Space-Time Smackdown and Trading?

Mark your calendars! Starting January 29th, 2025, you'll be able to trade cards with your friends in Pokémon TCG Pocket. And the fun doesn't stop there; on January 30th, 2025, the Space-Time Smackdown expansion will launch, bringing with it a host of new features and cards. This update will also enhance your digital binder and display board with stunning new covers featuring Dialga, Palkia, and Darkrai.

Trading has been a long-awaited feature, and it's finally here. To participate in trading, you'll need two new items: trade hourglasses and trade tokens. Keep in mind that the cards eligible for trading are limited to rarity levels 1-4 and ★1. Initially, you'll only be able to trade cards from the Genetic Apex and Mythical Island expansions, but the developers have promised to include more cards in future updates.

The Space-Time Smackdown expansion dives deep into the Sinnoh region, introducing two exciting new booster packs centered around the Legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia. These packs will come with fresh card illustrations that will surely delight collectors. Additionally, you can look forward to seeing Lucario, the formidable steel-and-fighting type, as well as the charming Sinnoh starters: Turtwig, Chimchar, and Piplup.
