January 2025 Gacha Game Revenue: Genshin Impact Leads the Pack

The gacha game market continues to generate significant revenue, with January 2025 figures revealing some interesting trends. Genshin Impact, boosted by a major update featuring the Pyro Archon and the highly anticipated Mawuika banner, saw a remarkable surge in earnings. Data indicates a doubling of revenue, reaching $99.4 million compared to $45.6 million in December 2024.

Trailing behind Genshin Impact, Pokemon TCG secured second place with $64 million in revenue. Love and Deepspace, a popular "female gacha" title, claimed the third spot, generating $55.2 million.

Honkai Star Rail experienced a dip in earnings, down to $50.8 million, while Zenless Zone Zero saw a significant decrease, with revenue halved from $57.9 million to $26.3 million.

It's important to note that these rankings reflect mobile platform revenue only. While some games, such as those from miHoYo, also have PC versions, this data focuses solely on mobile earnings. Furthermore, the methodology clarifies that Chinese Android revenue is estimated using a multiplier based on iOS revenue in the region, due to the absence of Google Play in China.
