“岩田先生也参与了‘任天堂明星大乱斗’这个名字的构思。我们团队成员提出了一系列可能的名称和词语，”樱井政博在视频中详细介绍道。然后，他们与《地球冒险》系列的创造者糸井重里先生举行了一次会议，最终确定了游戏系列的名称。樱井政博补充道：“岩田先生选择了‘兄弟’这个词。他的理由是，即使这些角色根本不是兄弟，使用这个词也增加了这样的细微差别：他们并非只是在战斗——他们是朋友，正在解决一些小摩擦！”
除了《任天堂明星大乱斗》的名称由来之外，樱井政博还分享了他初次与岩田聪相遇的经历以及其他对这位前任任天堂社长的美好回忆。据樱井政博介绍，岩田聪亲自帮助编写了《任天堂明星大乱斗》原型（当时名为《龙王：任天堂64格斗游戏》）的代码。
