Marvel's animated "Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man" series, following Peter Parker's freshman year, has received early renewals for both Season 2 and Season 3.

Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios' head of streaming, television, and animation, revealed in an interview with The Movie Podcast that Season 2's scripts are complete, with half the animatics already finished, even before Season 1's premiere on January 29th. The greenlight for Season 3 has also been given.

Winderbaum expressed his enthusiasm for the show and its characters, highlighting the payoff of the narrative structure. He stated, "I've fallen so head over heels in love with these characters...What [lead writer and executive producer Jeff Trammell] is building brick by brick in this show starts to pay off...and it just gets deeper and deeper in subsequent seasons." He also mentioned upcoming meetings with Trammell to discuss Season 3's plot, though release dates for either Season 2 or 3 remain unannounced.

The series chronicles Peter Parker's high school experiences as he develops his superpowers. Whether subsequent seasons will follow a chronological year-by-year progression or explore additional freshman-year storylines remains to be seen.
