During Shift Up's IPO press conference on June 25th, CFO Ahn Jae-woo indicated that the company is actively exploring a PC version of Stellar Blade, viewing it as a prime opportunity for further monetization. Ahn's comments acknowledged the shifting landscape of AAA game consumption, with a growing PC player base compared to console users.
Shift Up's CEO, Kim Hyung-Tae, corroborated this, confirming the ongoing review of a PC version but refraining from specifying a release date due to contractual obligations. This aligns with the company's public filings, which include plans for both a PC release and a potential sequel.
Kim emphasized Shift Up's vision for Stellar Blade: to cultivate a high-value IP and build a global fanbase. This strategy includes a deliberate avoidance of potentially harmful microtransactions, a commitment the company intends to clearly communicate to its players.
Exciting Updates and Collaborations on the Way!
Beyond the PC port, Shift Up has unveiled a roadmap of updates and DLC for Stellar Blade. This includes a highly anticipated Photo Mode (August), new costumes (October), and a major collaboration to be revealed later in the year. Regarding the recent collaboration with Goddess of Victory: NIKKE, Kim expressed optimism about creating positive synergy between the two IPs.

Stellar Blade's success is undeniable. Shift Up reports approximately one million copies sold globally within two months of its release. The game also achieved top rankings in major markets (US and UK) across sixty different stores since its April launch, and boasts a remarkable 9.2/10 Metacritic score, earning "Universal Acclaim."
