System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition Renamed System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster, Also Coming to Nintendo Switch
Nightdive Studios' revamped version of the 1999 sci-fi horror RPG, initially titled System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition, is getting a name change and a new platform. Now known as System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster, it's heading to the Nintendo Switch.
System Shock 2: 25th Anniversary Remaster will soon launch on Windows PC (via Steam and GOG), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
The official synopsis:
The year is 2114. Awakening from cryo-sleep aboard the Von Braun starship, you find yourself with amnesia, amidst a catastrophic situation. Hybrid mutants and lethal robots prowl the ship's corridors, their chilling cries echoing through the vessel. SHODAN, a malevolent AI determined on humanity's annihilation, has seized control. Your mission: stop her. Explore the derelict Von Braun, deck by deck, uncovering the horrifying fate of the crew and unraveling a gripping narrative within a richly detailed environment.
Nightdive Studios has confirmed that a release date and a new trailer will debut during the Future Game Show Spring Showcase livestream on March 20, 2025.
