Tango Gameworks, creator of Hi-Fi Rush, has launched a revamped website and announced work on a new, undisclosed action game.

The updated site, featuring fresh branding and a careers section, highlights open roles for an unannounced project. It emphasizes Tango Gameworks' mission to craft innovative games and expand intellectual properties as an independent Tokyo-based studio under Krafton.

In May 2024, Microsoft revealed it had shuttered several Bethesda studios, including Tango Gameworks and Arkane Austin, known for Redfall. The decision sparked widespread dismay among developers and fans, particularly after Microsoft executive Aaron Greenberg praised Hi-Fi Rush as a "breakout hit for [Xbox] and [its] players across all key metrics and expectations."

In August 2024, PUBG publisher Krafton acquired Tango Gameworks and the Hi-Fi Rush IP from Microsoft, rescuing the studio from closure. Krafton announced in a press release that it will work with Xbox and ZeniMax to ensure a seamless transition, enabling the talented team to continue developing the Hi-Fi Rush IP and pursue new projects.

"After months of uncertainty, Tango Gameworks is back with a fresh vision," the studio's website declares. "Our new site offers fans and potential team members insight into our studio’s ethos and features contributions from our team."

"Since joining Krafton, Tango Gameworks is embarking on a new journey, creating titles that captivate global audiences," the studio stated. "We are committed to developing unique and innovative IPs, striving to stand out in the gaming industry."

Tango emphasized that its vision revolves around a studio that operates like a creative workshop, delivering games and experiences with a distinct "hand-crafted" quality.

As for the new game? Details remain scarce. A news post published today notes that Tango is "not ready to share much yet" but is actively recruiting for various roles to support early development of an unannounced action game.

"These roles span nearly every department, so if you’re eager to join the team behind hits like Hi-Fi Rush, explore our studio philosophy." According to a machine translation of the senior-level designer position, Tango seeks candidates with "experience in 3D action game development" using Unreal Engine 5. The cutscene manager job also requires 3D action game experience but offers no further hints. Could it be Hi-Fi Rush 2?
