Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will arrive in Call of Duty
Activision has unveiled a new crossover event for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Call of Duty: Warzone, bringing back the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. This isn't the first time these shelled heroes have graced an Activision shooter.
While specifics regarding the collaboration's content and launch date (described only as "soon") remain scarce, the CODWarfareForum website offers some unverified details.
Reportedly, players can expect character skins for all four turtles (though the absence of April O'Neil, Master Splinter, and Shredder is disappointing). New melee weapons and finishing moves are also anticipated, including a skateboard, katana, nunchucks, and a staff. The Grind map, a skatepark, is expected to be a central location for the crossover events.
Despite the announcement, fan reaction has been muted. This isn't due to a lack of popularity for the TMNT franchise, but rather stems from the current troubled state of Black Ops Cold War. The game is plagued by bugs and rampant cheating, leading to a significant decline in its player base.
